Less than four months after opening the Memphis Filling Station taproom, MFS Brewing is expanding its reach.
MFS beers have been available on draft in the Downtown Memphis taproom, 206 GE Patterson, which opened in September. The MFS team has also been canning beers by hand and selling them, to go, as singles or in four-packs from the taproom.
Now, a handful of craft beer-focused liquor stores and bars, largely in Midtown, have started to carry MFS cans and kegs.
“It’s been surreal to see our beer on shelves and on tap around Memphis,” Bryan Berretta, MFS co-founder, told Memphis Beer Blog.
And the buzz around MFS hasn’t just been local.
“Watching the Untappd check-ins and seeing our beer at bottle shares locally and as far as Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio and California has been fun. Tourists who’ve come through and grabbed cans to take home are not just sharing MFS, but are also showcasing the unique styles and flavors that Memphis has to offer,” Berretta said.

Where to find MFS beers in Memphis
Two liquor stores in Midtown have started carrying MFS canned beers in their coolers: Joe’s Wines & Liquor and Kimbrough Wine & Spirits.
MFS, which is self distributing, has sent those stores beers such as Within Tolerances Milk Stout, Tri-5 Italian Pilsner, Left Handed Screwdriver and Tongue and Groove American Pale Ale.
One bar, Memphis Whistle, has MFS cans for purchase for on-site consumption.
Meanwhile, MFS beers are available on draft now at Lucchesi’s Beer Garden, Young Ave Deli and Board to Beers, with additional taps coming soon.
“We have more taps coming, for sure. Scott and I are delivering to new spots weekly, with the Flying Saucer in Cordova, Hammer & Ale, and many more on the horizon, not to mention new beers at the taps we currently support,” said Berretta.
“When one tap blows, we ask ‘what’s next?’ — and it’s almost always something new. If a bar is interested, they can reach out to us at sales@mfsbrewing.com, and we work with each location individually to find just the right beer to meet their needs.”
