Mike Erskine, founder of Memphis Beer Blog, drinking a beer at Crosstown Brewing.

Memphis Beer Blog, founded by former newspaper reporter/editor and longtime homebrewer Mike Erskine, shares stories about the Memphis beer community, local breweries, events and the tastiest beers.

Mike began writing about craft beer and homebrewing in 2010. He started the now-retired FuzzyBrew.com, Memphis’s first digital beer publication, with two friends who shared a passion for beer culture.

Mike won the 2012 Bluff City Brewers Pro Am competition, sponsored by Ghost River Brewing and Boscos, for his Red Hop Ale. He then competed in the Pro Am contest at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

In 2023, Mike earned his Certified Beer Server credential.
