Memphis Made Brewing Co. announced Monday that it will close its Edge District taproom, with its final day of service set for Sunday, March 29.
The brewery shared the news in a social media post, thanking customers for their support over the years.
“Whether you came in once or we saw you every week, we thank you. Being a part of a community as special as Memphis has been a true honor.”
Earlier this month, Memphis Made had announced it was reducing days the taproom would be open to just Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
While the taproom is permanently closing, Memphis Made said it will continue brewing and distributing its beers throughout Shelby County “for the foreseeable future.” Its restaurant at Memphis International Airport will also remain open.
The taproom closure follows significant financial challenges for the brewery. In August 2025, Memphis Made filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and began seeking a buyer, as previously reported by Memphis Beer Blog.
Memphis Made co-founder Andy Ashby, who recently joined the Daily Memphian as a reporter, told the publication that the taproom closure was an effort to simplify the business and make it more attractive to potential buyers.
The Edge District location, 16 S. Lauderdale, opened in 2024 following the brewery’s move from Cooper-Young.
No additional details about the decision to close the taproom were included in the announcement.
For now, customers have one more week to visit the space before it closes its doors at the end of the month.
