Crosstown Brewing celebrates 8 years with ‘Burn the Ships’ Baltic Porter

Crosstown Brewing Co. is marking its eighth anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 21, with a pirate-themed celebration and the release of a new, taproom-exclusive beer.

The beer, Burn the Ships, is a coffee-infused Baltic Porter brewed with coffee from French Truck Coffee. At about 4.7% ABV, it’s less boozy take on the Baltic Porter style.

The name “Burn the Ships” is a reference to determination and the idea of committing fully and moving forward.Burn the Ships will be available draft only and exclusively at Crosstown’s taproom.

As a bonus, Crosstown will also be dropping a second limited beer today: a barrel-aged version of its Carouser Doppelbock, 9.2% ABV.

The anniversary celebration runs from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Crosstown’s taproom, with live music from The Wayback Machine from 6 to 9 p.m.
