Meddlesome Brewing brings back Wit-less Witbier as new summer seasonal

Meddlesome Brewing Co. in Cordova has a new summer seasonal—but it might look familiar to longtime fans.

Wit-less Witbier, a Belgian-style wheat beer brewed with fresh orange zest, coriander, and chamomile tea, is back—this time with its widest release yet.

The 4.5%-ABV beer has been around in small batches since 2017, occasionally appearing on tap at the brewery, but this marks the first time it’s been canned and distributed as Meddlesome’s official summer seasonal.

“We decided to move off of Hotter’n Helles as our summer seasonal and replace it with Wit-less,” Meddlesome president and co-founder Ben Pugh told Memphis Beer Blog. “There are plenty of Helles lagers in the market right now and no wits—other than Blue Moon.”

Light, floral, and refreshing, Wit-less quietly started rolling out in stores two weeks ago and has been available at the taproom for about three weeks. You’ll also find it on tap at bars and restaurants around Memphis.
