Memphis Made Brewing Co. is settling in to its new 5,000-square-foot taproom space in the Edge District, just on the outskirts of Downtown.
The new taproom, 435 Madison Ave., has been open about three weeks following the closure of the brewery’s original location in Midtown.
Memphis Made has been brewing beer in the new spot since 2023, but the taproom finally opened its doors to the public on July 20.
The taproom is across the street from the site of the old Wonder Bread bakery, which closed in 2017. To celebrate the opening, Memphis Made is selling an American wheat beer called Wonderbeer, 7% ABV.
Inside, the spacious taproom is lined with tables. There is also a nook for video games and pinball machines.
Meanwhile, a garage door opens to a patio that overlooks the Ravine, which is a park-like space with picnic tables. It’s essentially a large outdoor extension of the taproom and an area where food trucks can park.
Memphis Made is still putting the finishing touches on the indoor space, including building out a permanent tap wall. Eventually, there will also be a kitchen.
The new Memphis Made location might be a little hard to find for some people. While it has a Madison address, the main entrance to the building is at 16 Lauderdale. There are additional entrances to the Ravine at Marshall and Monroe.
There is no dedicated parking lot for Memphis Made, but there is free and paid street parking nearby, plus there’s a garage located behind the Rise Apartments with an entrance on Monroe. There is also a parking lot across from High Cotton Brewing Co. on Monroe that has an entrance to the Ravine at the back.
Hours for the new Memphis Made taproom are:
- Mondays: Closed
- Tuesdays: Closed
- Wednesdays: 4-7 p.m.
- Thursdays: 4-10 p.m.
- Fridays: 4-10 p.m.
- Saturdays: 1-10 p.m.
- Sundays: 1-7 p.m.
