Cherry Stylez Fruited Sour is latest release from Wiseacre

Wiseacre Cherry Stylez label

Wiseacre Brewing Co. has a new ale on tap for sour beer lovers.

Cherry Stylez Fruited Sour, 6.6% ABV, was brewed by adding Montmorency cherries to a Berliner Weisse. I haven’t had a chance yet to try the beer, but here’s Wiseacre’s description:

As it was, Belgian sour beers have taken an American turn with fruit additions that leave them sweet, lovable and slightly tart. For this one, direction was given to add a whole truckload of Montmorency cherries to a Berliner Weisse to give the beer an X-Factor. The resulting beer is a cardigan of many colors that draws a fine line between tasty pink drink and pinkies out fancy pants that is definitely a sign of the times. Despite the appearance there are no watermelon, sugar, or other additives in this Belgo-American new age sour beer that works well at the beach or with music for a sushi restaurant.

Cherry Stylez is available on draft only and is available at both Wiseacre taproom locations: 2783 Broad Ave. and 398 S B.B. King Blvd.
