Memphis Made Brewing Co. has enhanced its website with fresh features and an updated design to reflect the brewery’s new Downtown location.
The website, https://www.memphismadebrewing.com, features the opportunity to book brewery tours — which start next month — book taproom and Ravine events, and shop online for Memphis Made gear.
It also features a calendar of events and an up-to-date list of what beers are available in the taproom, which is open Thursday through Sunday.
Memphis Made opened the taproom in July at 16 S. Lauderdale in the Edge District.
Public tours of the brewery start Feb. 8 and will be held the second and fourth week of each month. The tours cost $10 and include a souvenir pint glass and a beer. (Private tours can be booked by emailing info@memphismadebrewing.com for rates and availability.)
Drew Barton and Andy Ashby founded Memphis Made in the Cooper-Young area of Midtown in 2013.
“Back then, people said Memphis wasn’t a good beer city, and one of the reasons we started Memphis Made was to change that perception,” Ashby said. “We spent a lot of time educating people about beer, one bar at a time. Now that we’ve settled into our new brewery, we figured it’d be a good time to get back to our roots of talking about beer while drinking beer.”
The tours will also touch on the city’s brewing history and the brewing process.
“Drew and I named the company Memphis Made to advocate for the city and highlight why we love it,” Ashby said. “We were the fourth craft brewery in town and now there’s 15 in Shelby County. The city also has brewing history before the craft beer boom, so there’s lots to talk about.”
