High Cotton name retired as taproom becomes Flyway Brewing Memphis

The signage has been up for several weeks, but now it’s official: the High Cotton Brewing taproom on Monroe has become Flyway Brewing Memphis.

The name change was officially announced earlier today on High Cotton’s social channels, with a message that read in part: “Big news, beer lovers! High Cotton’s taproom is now Flyway Brewing Memphis, and we’re soaring to new heights!”

The announcement went on to say that High Cotton’s Instagram page will be rebranded as a Flyway Brewing Memphis account. Meanwhile, High Cotton’s legacy Facebook page will no longer be updated, and a new Flyway Brewing Memphis page has been created.

The announcement added that High Cotton’s popular beers will “live forever” on the draft menu.

This latest news comes as Flyway is poised to open a sit-down restaurant/brewpub in the former Edge Alley space next door.

In February, Little Rock-based Flyway Brewing Co. and the ownership group behind City Silo Table + Pantry announced plans to transform High Cotton and the adjacent restaurant space into a Flyway-branded brewpub, featuring beers, food and music.
