Memphis craft breweries are planning a variety of Valentine’s Day-inspired events in the month of February, including beer pairings and other celebrations. Here’s a roundup of some of the events planned.

Grind City Brewing Co.

On Wednesday, Feb. 14, Grind City Brewing Co. will be hosting a “Taylor Swift themed celebration of love and hate and all the feelings in between” from 5:30-10 p.m.

Starting at 6, the Eras Tours film will be playing. There will also be a signature cocktail, Bad Blood, for sale, along with freebies and snacks.

Graz’n Tables and Cafe 127 will be onsite with adult lunchables and chocolate-covered strawberries. Grind City is located at 76 Waterworks Avenue.

Meddlesome Brewing Co.

A Rom-Com trivia night will be on tap at Meddlesome Brewing Co. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, starting at 7 p.m.

Then, on Saturday, Feb. 17, Meddlesome will host its annual Valentine’s Day Beer and Dessert Pairing, featuring four beers paired with four desserts. The pairings include:

  • Memphis Style, an American lager, paired with a pound cake and key lime mouse shooter
  • She Devil, a Belgian golden strong ale, paired with an orange creamsicle cake
  • Devil’s Water, a Belgian dark strong ale, paired with a death-by-chocolate and strawberry shooter
  • Under Pressure, a vanilla porter, paired with a heart-shaped luscious Cuatro Leches cake

The event costs $30 per person, and there are two time slots, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with 40 spots available for each. For tickets, you can sign up in the taproom, call 901-207-1147 during normal business hours, or purchase your ticket online.

Meddlesome is located at 7750 Trinity Road, Suite #114, in Cordova.

Memphis Made Brewing Co.

The Love Will Tear Us Apart market is happening Saturday, Feb. 10., at Memphis Made Brewing Co.‘s Midtown location, 768. S. Cooper St.

The “Valentine’s Day Market for the lovers and the broken hearted” will feature Memphis artists and makers with Valentine’s gifts for sale from 2 to 7 p.m. It will be followed by a free show from Comma Comedians. The Good Groceries food truck will be onsite, as well.

Today also marks the debut of the MFS Brewing’ “ghost taproom” at Memphis Made, which is a great opportunity to try Memphis Filling Station beers before the new brewery opens later this year.

Wiseacre Brewing Co.

Wiseacre Brewing Co.’s annual beer and chocolates pairing class, Flowers and Chocolate, is happening on Saturday, Feb. 24.

The event will include a tour of Wiseacre’s Downtown “HQ” brewery at 398 S B.B. King Blvd, and attendees will “learn all about hops and malt, the flowers and chocolate of the beer world.” In addition, the class includes samples of Wiseacre beers paired with chocolate from Dinstuhl’s.

There are three time slots for Flowers and Chocolates — 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. — and spots are limited. With taxes and fees, tickets are $30.18, and can be purchased online.
