Ghost River Brewing adds ‘Lo-Cal Gold’ to year-round lineup in cans

After a successful taproom test run, Memphis’ Ghost River Brewing Co. is releasing its lower calorie “Lo-Cal Gold” ale in 6-packs of cans.

Lo-Cal Gold, 3.6% ABV, is just 112 calories per 12 ounces. It’s a lighter version of Ghost River’s flagship Ghost River Gold and joins the brewery’s year-round offerings.

In July, Ghost River released Lo-Cal Gold on draft only in its South Main and Beale Street taprooms. After it sold well in the taprooms, Ghost River decided to promote the beer to its year-round lineup, Ghost River owner Bob Keskey told Memphis Beer Blog.

Six-packs of Lo-Cal Gold are available now, to go, in Ghost River’s taprooms. It’s still available on draft there, as well.

In addition, 6-packs of the beer are headed to Kroger grocery stores, liquor stores and select convenience stores in the Memphis area.
