For 14 months, an imperial stout has been aging in bourbon barrels at Meddlesome Brewing Co. in Cordova.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the small-batch beer will finally be released in bottles and on draft.

Hipster Barista, 10% ABV, is an imperial stout made with coffee and chocolate. It returns for a third year in Meddlesome’s taproom this week.

Meddlesome used Huling Station bourbon barrels from Old Dominick, exclusively, to age the beer. Old Dominick will take the barrels back and re-age bourbon in them as part of the distillery’s R&D series.

Hipster Barista will be very limited. When the beer goes on sale Friday, only 13 cases of 22-oz. bombers, and one keg of the beer on draft, will be available.

Meddlesome is located at 7750B Trinity Road in Cordova.
