Soul & Spirits is celebrating 2-year anniversary Oct. 12-15, with special releases each day

Soul & Spirits Brewery is celebrating its second anniversary next week with some new releases and some old favorites.

The Downtown Memphis brewery’s Two Year Celebration Weekend will feature a special release every day.

Thursday, Oct. 12, will welcome the return of Polk Salad Ale, the brewery’s fresh hop IPA. This year, Soul & Spirits used a combination of Citra and Simcoe Cryo hops, with hops grown in master brewer and brewery co-founder Ryan Allen’s backyard. Polk Salad will be available on draft and in cans. That day’s food truck will be Tacos Mondragon.

Friday, Oct. 13, will spotlight a new beer, Sauce Fruited Sour Ale, featuring Passionfruit, Orange and Guava (or POG for short). This beer is a fruited version of Soul & Spirits’ Berliner Weisse. It will be available only on draft. That day’s food truck is Poke Paradise 901.

Saturday, Oct. 14, marks the return of Grist Ain’t Groceries, a Ryewine that was cellared for one year. This was previously released for Soul & Spirits’ one-year anniversary, and it was a hit. The beer will be available on draft and in very limited quantity of cans. That day’s food trucks will be AlBee’s and SnoJunt.

Sunday, Oct. 15, is Soul & Spirits’ official two-year anniversary date, and the brewery will be releasing Knock On Wood Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. The rich stout was aged in whiskey barrels from Old Dominick for over a year. It will be available on draft and in cans. The first 40 four-packs sold will come with limited anniversary glassware. That day’s food truck will be Tacos Mondragon.
