Cordova’s Meddlesome Brewing Co. is teaming up with Whimsical Confections for a beer and dessert pairing event next weekend on Mother’s Day.
The event will pair four Meddlesome beers with four chocolate-covered desserts. The lineup includes:
- Chocolate-covered pound cake, paired with Under Pressure (Vanilla Porter)
- Chocolate-covered cheesecake truffles, paired with Devil’s Water (Belgian Dark Strong)
- White chocolate-covered raspberry brownie, paired with Raspberry Puree (Raspberry Sour)
- Chocolate-covered coconut cake, paired with Tropical A.F. (Coconut Milkshake IPA)
Under Pressure and Devil’s Water are Meddlesome seasonals, but Raspberry Purée (sing it like the Prince song!) is a new beer being brewed specifically for the event.
Meanwhile, Tropical A.F. is a beer Meddlesome has brewed only twice before. Meddlesome co-founder Richie EsQuivel described it as “a fun take on an IPA, lactose, stupid amount of coconut and a massive dry hop of Galaxy and Mosaic. We use a hefe yeast for some banana flavors and aromas and to really boost the tropical character.”
The event is happening Sunday, with two timeslots available — 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. It’s $30 a person.
