Memphis Brewfest will not return in 2027, with organizers announcing Friday that the annual beer festival is being put on hold after two years at Shelby Farms Park.

“While we truly appreciate what we have (re)created the past two years in Shelby Farms Park we just do not see a viable way to proceed,” organizers wrote in a social media post.

The announcement comes less than four months after the festival was held June 20 at Shelby Farms. Organizers had tentatively scheduled the 2027 event for Saturday, April 17, before deciding to pause the festival.

Memphis Brewfest, which began in 2010, returned in 2025 after taking a break. The revival brought a new location at Shelby Farms Park and new leadership under Rhizome Productions, a Nashville-based event company that also organizes the East Nashville Beer Festival.

The 2026 festival featured more than 25 local, regional and national breweries, along with food trucks, live music, vendors and professional wrestling.

In Friday’s announcement, organizers thanked Shelby Farms Park, participating breweries and attendees for supporting the festival over the past two years.

“This isn’t goodbye forever, but it is for now,” organizers wrote.
