
Memphis may be 5,000 miles from Munich, but that doesn’t stop the Bluff City from breaking out the lederhosen and steins.
Local breweries are once again putting their own spin on Oktoberfest for 2025, with taprooms across town ready to serve up festbiers, pretzels, and plenty of fall cheer.
Here’s a listing, in chronological order, of local events happening in September and October. (Additional events/details will be added when announced.)

At Soul & Spirits’ 4th Annual Oktoberfest Party, liters of Freunden Festbier and Danke Oktoberfest will be flowing all day. There will be an authentic German keg tapping at noon; polka band at 2:30 p.m.; dog costume contest at 3 p.m.; stein-holding competition at 4 p.m.; and the return of the Brewery vs Brewery crosscut saw competition at 5 p.m. Food trucks on site will include Hot n’ Heavy Dogs and Smoke & Toast.

Cooper House Project will be celebrating its third annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sept. 27.

The party at Grind City will be both Oktoberfest and a five-year anniversary celebration. There will be special anniversary beer releases, plus live music, food trucks, games and other festivities.

Flyway and Memphis Made are teaming up for an “Edgetoberfest” celebration with live music and lots of German beers on tap. Memphis Made and High Cotton/Flyway are linked through a Ravine staircase entrance at 571 Marshall.

Meddlesome’s Ska-Tober Fest will feature six ska bands from across the U.S: Stuck Lucky, Rum Luck, Analog Daydream, The Skalors, Hans Gruber And The Die Hards, and Over Seasons. The event is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

Boscos Squared will be offering $5 pours of Oktoberfest beer, plus beer brats and pretzel specials all day, for its annual Oktoberfest festivities.

Hampline’s “Farewell to Oktoberfest” celebration will feature the release of a new Märzen called Bär Von Broad, live music from Oakwalker, Orsoza wood-fired pizzas (including a special bratwurst version), and a stein-holding contest that starts at 4 p.m. There will be a wrestling event later in the day.

“Moktberfest at MFS” will feature a day full of full of music, beer and games, ending with a ticketed wrestling event with 901 Wrestling. MFS will have four German-inspired beers available: Halfway Level Hefe with Blood Orange, Dunk In The Trunk Dunkelweiss, Rumble Strip Radler, and Easy Out Festbier. In addition, there will be a special food menu including Hot Pretzels, Pretzel Bites, Brats and Bites, and Brats on a Bun. There will be tunes from Tubasaurus from 12:30- 2 p.m. and Level 3 from 3-5 p.m.
