Soul & Spirits Brewery will celebrate the return of its seasonal Ophelia Saison with a Belgian beer-focused event this Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the brewery’s Downtown Memphis taproom.
The event will run from 1 to 8 p.m. and features an exclusive lineup of limited, draft-only Belgian-style beers brewed specifically for the occasion.
“I’m working overtime to put out some super limited releases that I anticipate will sell out in the first hour or two,” Ryan Allen, Master Brewer and Soul & Spirits co-founder, told Memphis Beer Blog.
“I’m just having fun and messing around with lots of ideas — getting back to my roots of small brewing and back to the heart of craft beer exploration.”
The limited Belgian beers include:
- Sanctified, 5.5 ABV%, a Trappist Single or Patersbier with notes of orange blossom, spicy honey and rose biscuits.
- Dubbed Got My Woman, 7.2 ABV%, a malt-rich Trappist Dubbel featuring layers of raisin, plum, brown sugar and Belgian spice.
- Tripel Tramp, 8.9 ABV%, a Trappist Tripel with soft malt sweetness, fruity esters and black peppercorn on the finish.
- Breakdown, 6.7% ABV, a Belgian IPA marrying dried apricot, light bubblegum and funky citrus hop character.
- Messin’ With The Wit, 5.0%, a Witbier with candied orange peel, coriander spice and refreshing citrus.
Meanwhile, Ophelia, 6.5% ABV, has been part of Soul & Spirits’ seasonal rotation and is a light, effervescent beer with touch of spice.
Ophelia will be available on draft at Soul & Spirits and in four-packs of 16-oz. cans to go. It will only be sold at the taproom.
In addition to the beer offerings, Saturday’s Belgian beer event will also feature Belgian waffles and a crawfish boil, both available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Soul & Spirits is located at 845 N. Main St.
