Soul & Spirits Brewery and Wiseacre Brewing Co. are bringing a taste of the Bluff City to the 2024 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver this weekend.

The two Memphis breweries are among the more than 550 breweries serving beers at the nation’s largest beer festival, where 2,500+ different beverages will be poured.

Soul & Spirits is serving five beers, including two GABF exclusives:

  • Hoochie Coochie, 6.3% ABV, an American IPA
  • Strawberry BBQ Sauce, 4.5% ABV, a GABF-exclusive sour beer made with strawberry puree and Memphis BBQ sauce
  • Hound Dog, 5.0% ABV, a Hefeweizen
  • Hunk O’ Love, 9.5% ABV, “The King’s Sandwich Stout” brewed for GABF
  • Loving You Tmavý Ležák, 5.0% ABV, a Czech Dark Lager

Meanwhile, Wiseacre will be serving four beers and one NA beverage:

  • Tiny Bomb, 4.5% ABV, which is a pilsner and Wiseacre’s top seller
  • Sky Dog, 4% ABV, a 99-calorie lager
  • Air Bath, 5% ABV, a session IPA
  • Oktoberfest Gemutlichkeit, 6% ABV, a Märzen
  • Hop Zip, a non-alcoholic sparkling hop water

Both Soul & Spirits and Wiseacre served beers at GABF in 2022 and 2023.

This weekend’s festival coincides with the annual GABF beer competition. Winners of the prestigious contest will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The events are put on by the Brewers Association, a trade association that represents American craft brewers, suppliers, distributors and craft beer retailers.
