Crosstown Brewing Co. has collaborated with the Metal Museum on a new beer that celebrates the Memphis institution’s 45th anniversary.
Ferrous 45 Amber Ale, 5.6% ABV, is a malty, amber-hued beer that’s being released in Crosstown’s taproom on Saturday, March 30, from 3-6 p.m.
The Metal Museum will be onsite with the museum’s mobile forge, doing demonstrations and making special souvenirs for the occasion.
Sweet Cakes Vibes will be there selling mini pancakes from 2-6 p.m.
The Metal Museum, which opened its doors to the public in 1979, is in the midst of a $35 million capital campaign to renovate the former Memphis College of Art Rust Hall building in Overton Park to become the Metal Museum’s second campus.
