It’s time to get your paws on Crosstown Brewing Co.’s newest beer.

El Gato Malo, which means bad cat in Spanish, is a 4.5%-ABV European Dark Lager. The beer is said to feature roasty notes and some malt sweetness, but finishes dry — purr-fect for these cooler temps.

El Gato Malo is the latest special release from Crosstown and makes its debut today in the Midtown brewery’s taproom, 1264 Concourse Ave., starting at noon.

In the taproom, the beer will be available on draft, as well as in four-packs of 16-ounce cans to go.

In about a week or two, the beer will hit the Memphis market for a limited time in cans and on draft.

So if you want to try this one, you should pounce on it while you can.
