Beer, bagpipes and more on tap at Memphis breweries for St. Patrick’s Day

Memphis craft breweries will have beer flowing, bagpipes blowing and other festivities planned for St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 17. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening locally for the Feast of Saint Patrick.

Boscos

Boscos Squared has $4 stouts, as well as other drink specials and Irish-themed food. Boscos is located at 2120 Madison Avenue.

Crosstown Brewing

Midtown’s Crosstown Brewing, 1264 Concourse Ave., will have Good Groceries on site with a special Irish-themed menu. Grape will be playing from 2 to 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be judging for the St. Patrick’s Day costume contest. Plus, there will be beads, boas, and more to celebrate the holiday.

Grind City Brewing

Grind City Brewing will have $3 green beer drafts, plus live music, games, and raffles. The festivities start at noon. Grind City is located at 76 Waterworks Ave.

High Cotton Brewing

High Cotton Brewing, 598 Monroe Ave, will have $4 green beer drafts available for its Mexican Lager and River King IPA. The Poke Paradise food truck will be on site, as well.

Hook Point Brewing’s Ready Room

Hook Point Brewing Co.’s new East Memphis taproom, the Ready Room, will have a “Lucky Hour” on Friday with half off the AfterBurner Irish Red, Inky Barley Scottish Stout, and Hook Point’s new Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. In addition, cans of Afterburner and Inky Barley will be 10% off Friday and Saturday only. The Ready Room is located at 715 W Brookhaven Cir.

Meddlesome Brewing

Meddlesome Brewing will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a dark beer tap takeover, McRoy’s Irish Stout release, and live music. Meddlesome is located at 7750B Trinity Road in Cordova.

Memphis Made

Memphis Made Brewing is offering $4 pints of their stouts — Drew’s Day Off, Andy’s Mint, and Memphis As Truck — on St. Patrick’s Day. There will also be giveaways, and the Dim Sum food truck will be on site.

Memphis Made is in Midtown at 768 S Cooper St.

Soul & Spirits

At Soul & Spirits, green pints will be flowing, and the Albees food truck will be offering special Irish fare. Soul & Spirits will also be serving the “Memphis Piper’s Special” Black & Tan for one day only.

A blessing of the beer will happen at 6 p.m., followed by an appearance by the Memphis Pipe Band at 7 pm. Soul & Spirits is in Downtown Memphis at 845 N Main St.

Wisacre Brewing

Wiseacre Brewing will have its Quiet Man Dry Irish Stout seasonal beer available in Wiseacre’s two taprooms, as well as on tap in bars around Memphis. Wiseacre is also selling green T-shirts with the Quiet Man label art.

Wiseacre’s taprooms are at 2783 Broad Ave and 398 S B.B. King Blvd.
